IBM to acquire Accelalpha, a Seattle-area firm that helps companies manage Oracle Cloud products

IBM announced Monday that it plans to acquire Accelalpha, a Bellevue, Wash.-based services provider that specializes in managing Oracle Cloud applications. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

  • The acquisition will help boost IBM’s Oracle consulting expertise, and Accelalpha employees will join IBM Consulting. IBM and Oracle are longstanding strategic partners.
  • Accelalpha founder and CEO Nat Ganesh previously spent a decade at Oracle and joined Slalom Consulting before launching Accelapha in 2009.
  • IBM last year paid $4.6 billion to acquire Bellevue, Wash.-based technology spend management giant Apptio.
