IBM announced Monday that it plans to acquire Accelalpha, a Bellevue, Wash.-based services provider that specializes in managing Oracle Cloud applications. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
- The acquisition will help boost IBM’s Oracle consulting expertise, and Accelalpha employees will join IBM Consulting. IBM and Oracle are longstanding strategic partners.

Accelalpha founder and CEO Nat Ganesh previously spent a decade at Oracle and joined Slalom Consulting before launching Accelapha in 2009.
- IBM last year paid $4.6 billion to acquire Bellevue, Wash.-based technology spend management giant Apptio.
